If you’re a non-Indonesian who might not know this hot news currently flooded the Indonesia media headline everyday this is from Vivanews.com on 30 October 2009:

VIVAnews – Two inactive leaders of Indonesian anti-graft commission (KPK), Bibit Samad Riyanto and Chandra M Hamzah, have lost their freedom after the two attended the summons from the Indonesian Police on Thursday, October 29. The police later decided to arrest both Riyanto and Hamzah on the day.

Apparently, the public is having a different opinion.

Aside from the 15 national figures pledging themselves to revoke Riyanto and Hamzah’s confinement, Facebook users are also giving their support for both leaders.

Through the forming of “1.000.000 Facebookers Support Chandra Hamzah & Bibit Samad Riyanto” group, the support is being gathered.

“Whether or not they are guilty, we, who are outside the system, might be agitated by the cases dealt by Chandra and Bibit.”

“It’s possible that this case resembles an iceberg. Probably there are a lot of other people like Chandra and Hamzah experiencing the same thing,” the group creator, Usman Yasin, says in the group page’s introduction column.

In less than a day, the group has gained 1566 supporters. There is also a similar group under the name of “Free Bibit-Chandra”.

Corruption cases are always making headlines in our mass media.thanks for giving the link. I’ll undoubtedly back them up morally, at least that’s what I could do now for them and above all, for this corruption-ridden nation. A bit helps, I hope…
