Bloggers who were being detained for their criticism to some individuals in the establishment in undemocratic countries such as in China and Egypt are common phenomena. But it’s really a big news when a blogger posting makes someone angry in a democratic country. We in Indonesia used to face such experience when an Indonesian blogger investigated by police for allegedly “insulting” President Yudhoyono. Google Inc India subsidiary is being sued for alleged defamation in the Bombay High Court by an Indian construction equipment company, The Wall Street Journal said.
Mumbai-based Gremach Infrastructure Equipments & Projects Ltd is demanding that Google disclose the name of a person who criticized it using Google’s blogging service, the paper said.
A blogger using the name “Toxic Writer” criticized the company on blogger.com, a site that allows individuals to create blogs without publicly revealing their identities, the paper said.
The Journal said the Bombay High Court ordered the blog taken down on Feb 26.[...]
I hope such cases will never happen in Indonesia.

It is impolite if we make someone uncomfortable because of whatever we said about this person. We certainly have to apologize to the person. Actually we may criticize others if we find that they have to make some changes for good reasons. In this case, however, we should mention our critics objectively and politely.
