Amazon Kindle 2

Posted on February 10, 2009

Amazon’s Kindle is an amazing tools to read book digitally or electronically if you like. It’s very popular in US. But may be a bit foreign to those outside US, not to say Indonesia. Now, Kindle 2 is out.

The younger, slimmer, and smarter sister of Amazon’s (AMZN) sold-out Kindle electronic reader arrived on Feb. 9, at the same $359 price of its older sibling.

As far as I am concerned, I am still more comfortable reading a book in its print version. How about you?

I feel more comfortable reading ‘real’ books, too. But this kindle creature is so fascinating…

I really like the idea… especially the fact that it doesn’t use papers, you see, for the sake of our forests… ;)
I do love the printed version more, since it’s more beautiful, tangible and it feels like you “have” something, rather than just “virtual” book :)
But books are getting more and more expensive and kindle versions are lot cheaper so… I do wish that this Kindle will be available in Indonesia and I’ll surely buy it, once I can afford it ;)

I think it is a very sophisticated technology as Kindle 2 can store thousands of books and newspapers. Unfortunately, it is not available here in Indonesia..
