Indonesia’s Pertamina says depot fire extinguished
Police in Indonesia are investigating the cause of a massive fire that destroyed a fuel depot on the outskirts of the capital, Jakarta.
The blaze at the Pertamina national oil company fuel depot broke out late on Sunday and burned through the night before firefighters finally extinguished the blaze on Monday morning.
No injuries were reported from the fire which burned for more than eight hours, but hundreds of residents in the area fled their homes as flames and thick smoke rose high into the night sky.
