Chrome to Google is what Internet Explorer to Microsoft. Yes, you are right. Chrome, a web browser, is the newest google product intended, as people might say, to compete with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer dominance.
Can Chrome do it? The more important thing for us, the users, is not about which’s winning what . Having more options to browse and hence, as Google says, to “add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web” is a lot more substance.
Update 3 September 2008: In my place, Indonesia, the link download to Google Chrome has started appearing in Google.com (see the picture) right below the search inbox. Or you even can download it free from here.
Last but not the least, what does Chrome literally mean? As this word will be one of world most frequently used English word, it’s necessary for you to know at least how to correctly spell and pronounce it. i think it’s better for us to read users’ testimony before we decide to use chrome. remember, it’s new released.
Chrome adalah sebuah browser baru yang cukup menjanjikan! Masih versi beta begini aja udah terasa seksi dan menawan.
Untuk sementara, di engine wordpress saya ( http://hitmansystem.com/blog ) tidak bisa menampilkan visual rich-text editor, hanya html saja. Sayang sekali, ini cukup menganggu karena untuk mengetik dari perlu lewat dreamweaver atau software sejenisnya. Kelemahan lainnya, Chrome sepertinya perlu ditambah plugins agar lebih kaya fungsi. Saya pikir tinggal tunggu waktu saja, nanti mereka juga akan pasang plugins itu, atau istilah mereka ‘gears’. Menurut saya pribadi yang paling awal perlu dibuat adalah mouse gestures… Saya selama ini pengguna Maxthon, dan mulai berpikir untuk pindah ke Chrome.
Fitur paling menarik dari Chrome ya Incognito Window, ahahaha.. bisa aja mereka kepikiran akan hal itu. Disusul tentang task manager pribadi untuk tiap tab, this is genious!
Ada kabar kapan muncul versi 1.0 nya?
Anyways, untuk komik Chrome, rasanya nanggung gimana gitu. Saya penggemar Scott lewat karyanya Understanding Comics, tapi karyanya dalam Chrome ini terasa kaku, prematur dan tidak serius. Sayang sekali, seharusnya bisa lebih bagus lagi…
