Different Meta Tag Description Every Post for Better SEO

If you update your blog regularly with original quality content and finally you get tired because your blog performance in Google is not as you want it. What to do?
First, improve the meta tag description for the blog.
Second, create different meta tag description for each and every post.
More on this just listen to what the Google Webmaster Team has to say:
Using identical or similar descriptions on every page of a site isn’t very helpful when individual pages appear in the web results. In these cases we’re less likely to display the boilerplate text. Create descriptions that accurately describe each specific page. Use site-level descriptions on the main home page or other aggregation pages, and consider using page-level descriptions everywhere else. You should obviously prioritize parts of your site if you don’t have time to create a description for every single page; at the very least, create a description for the critical URLs like your homepage and popular pages.
The first point is easy. Google it on how to create meta tag description, you’ll find it right away.
The second part is also easy if you have a self-hosted wordpress blog. Just use Platinum SEO Pack plugins and set the tag or category as your automatic meta description of any particular post / article.
However, if your blog is run on blogger.com / blogspot you have to use meta description on each post manually.

Mas Fatih could you do a favor for me? At google webmaster tools I found the issues that my blog have 50 pages which duplicate meta descriptions when googlebot crawled my site. How to fix that issue?

#yeah that’s because the meta tag for main homepage is the same as meta tag for all posts / pages. solution: make different tag for every post, at least for the posts which is considered as duplicate by google webmaster tools

Thanks for the info Mas. But, how to apply specific meta tag for each post in blogger?
If you are submitting articles to article directories, than its ok. But if you are posting them on Revenue sharing websites, it will be a negative point.
We do not put meta tags on each post for a long time. This article became an important reference for us to improve the performance of our blog in the eyes of Google. Thanks.

# do this: admin ->Settings -> general -> on WordPress address (URL) -> type http://www.yourwebsite.com; on Blog address (URL) -> type http://www.yourwebsite.com. Click Save Changes. Done.

One of my tricks is to be sure to nofollow archives and other duplicate content on a blog or website. Google and other search engines dislike duplicate content and can penalize you for it, so make good use of that nofollow tag.
