INDONESIA on Thursday executed two Nigerians convicted of smuggling illegal drugs to mark the United Nations’ anti-drugs day, officials said.
Samuel Okoye, 37, and Hansen Nwaolisa, 40, were arrested at Jakarta’s international airport in 2001, each allegedly carrying more than three kilogrammes of heroin. They have been held at a high-security prison on Nusakambangan island since their conviction.[...]
Despite I have my reservation on death penalty in general, capital punishment on drug traffickers is an exception. My question in this matter only: what took the Indonesian government so long to bring the two Nigerians to the death squads?
Drugs are the most lethal killers of humanity. It could kill the entire generation if it let loose. It’s even way more dangerous than terrorism. The drug dealers are basically not different with those terrorists: both are killing innocent people in a massive scale.
Indonesia should be more stern to deal with drug traffickers so Indonesia not regarded save heaven by them.

Death penalty is considered uncivilized by most countries. out of 162 countries, Indonesia is one of those 50 countries legalizing death penalty for high-class crimes. But has it really decreased the activities? Known as “Seven Wonders of the World” for drugs trafficking is not a pleasant thing to achieve. But is it really because death penalty hasn’t been really applied here? News spreads that not only drugs traffickers that enjoy the benefits of the transactions but also the authorities. Death penalty is still manipulated meant only for those who have no channels to powerful elites. What’s lack in our country is education. Lack of education that deprives our people from understanding what’s right and what’s not. Philistines is who we are.
Always Nigeria citizen with their drugs,ask why our government not take a seriously solution,more political option maybe..
These people really gain profit to rush our teens,how we can go through of this if government is not seriously to protect their own citizen from drugs hell.
