Email Spammer with an Indonesian Name

The modus operandi is the same: losing money and request money transfer. The country of origin is the same: Nigeria.  The different this time is the name. It bears an Indonesian (Javanese name). Possibility: the spammer either the same person with more sophiscated method i.e. using local name to particular people or they are just really an Indonesian who smells that spamming is a good business. Or at least, a good try to earn money the easy way.

Here’s the “money transfer request” spam from person called himself  Sutikno Hardjosuwarno send to my Gmail. It’s sent to multiple destinations:

from    Sutikno Hardjosuwarno <sutiknohs@hotmail.com>

It’s a little a bit awkward, isn’t it? If Indonesian send the email to Indonesian, there should be no need to use another language instead of Indonesian language. Just be careful to such a thing like that.

We have to be careful about this issue. Indonesia as a nation which the people need to help each other with the friendship and brotherhood, sometimes is used by other people to do bad thing and harm the others. I think we should read an email carefully when it comes to our inbox.

First I began my internet exploration, I’m so naive to think that email like this one is a truly email hehe…few years ago, and almost send the money to that bank account. But, lucky for me, my friend told me that it’s a deception. I hope no more plain person get the harm of spam email.
