Firefox Offline Mode
[Scroll down for the update) Eversince I upgraded into Mozilla Firefox 3, I’ve been through a couple of problems. One of which is Page Load Error because of Content Encoding Error. This problem still takes place every now and then. Now another page load error problem comes up. It’s called Offline Mode. Here’s the message when I’m trying to open this blog using Firefox:
Offline Mode
Firefox is currently in offline mode and can’t browse the Web.The browser is operating in its offline mode and cannot connect to the requested item.
* Is the computer connected to an active network?
* Place the browser in online mode and try again.
After googling, it turns out that this problem occur to many Firefox users.
For the time being, I still don’t see viable solution to this problem. Sharing your experience on this matter would be appreciated.

permanent solution: open about:config in the address bar and disable browser:offline blabla notify
I had the same issue and after googling it, I found you can fix this by setting “toolkit.networkmanager.disable” property of Firefox to “true”. Type about:config in the address bar and copy and paste toolkit.networkmanager.disable there and set its value to true by double clicking on it. I even blogged it.
