Marriage in India, No Dating, please.
The word above means I wanna marry. In india, shaadi or marry/marriage becomes the most used word in any sphere of life. in office, in school, campus, advertisement, movies etc.
If you like watching indian film or ever watching once, you will find the word shaadi many times during the screening.
india could be regarded as the most-marriage-obsessed nation. what humans do, as far as india goes, is born-study-marry. that’s why, mostly indians just never think of dating; you hardly find it even in indian movies. in movies, for example, what will you find is, someone who have little dating in order to get married which is actually untrue in real life. the truth is: many indians, uptill now still prefer arranged marriage: let their parents do the business. this phenomena certainly different with that of other countries. In indonesia, for example, dating is common phenomena and not necessarily end up in marriage.
many modern indian guys just busy themselves seeking after their career and having no time for date. while traditional indian just obliging with their tradition of arranged marriage. so, either modern or traditional indians just have something in common: arrange marriage or through the third party.
that’s why, matrimonial ads can reap big money here. national newspapers published around 20 pages for sunday edition just for matrimonial ads alone. shaadi.com claim to have five million prospective list of bride and groom!
having said that, if you are not indians, just dont waste your time seeking your potential bride/groom from indian matrimonial agency/ads. because, the indians hindu and muslims alike, mostly expect to get marry with other indians with the same caste not with you the foreigners.
