Google sees Indonesians as primitive, barefooted and backward
If image speaks a thousand words, then Google makes it clear what Indonesia is all about. You’d understand what I am saying if you try to search for Indonesia through the most popular search engine. To make it brief, open google.com, write key word “indonesia” in the search box and click search. What you’d see is top ten links heading towards ten most popular websites that discuss or write about Indonesia.
On top of them are three pictures; two are Indonesia maps and geographical position of the country. In the middle of them is a picture of three persons which Google thinks representing Indonesian people. Below is the Indonesian people according to Google:
So, if you are not looking like this picture, basically you are NOT a true Indonesian. At least, that’s what Google would like to say.

Those koteka-wearing Irians are as much Indonesians as the rest of us here. And we wouldn’t want our Irians or Papuans brothers and sisters to consider any of this as racial discrimination, would we?
To be honest, I am more proud to have them to represent me rather than a bunch of corruptors.
