Indonesian Badminton Team Loses in Semifinal

Indonesian badminton team didn’t make it. They lose to Koreans. Good and talented yet easily choked players.

South Korea won through to the final of badminton’s Sudirman Cup with a 3-1 victory over Indonesia on Saturday.

It was the first time the Koreans had made the final of the biennial event since winning in 2003. Saturday’s defeat ended Indonesia’s run of making the final in the previous two Cups.

Korea’s Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung — both gold medalists at Beijing 2008 — won the mixed doubles, beating the experienced pairing of Nova Widianto and Lilyana Natsir 21-18, 21-15.

Indonesia’s sole victory came in the men’s singles, as Sony Dwi Kuncoro scraped home 14-21, 21-15, 22-20 against Park Sung-hwan.
