Intelektual Istana

Posted on December 13, 2009

Intelektual Istana or the Palace intellectual is a term coined by Febri Diansyah, an activist from ICW (Indonesia Corruption Watch, for those experts who want to justify the bailout policy taken to save Bank Century.

“Terkait dengan gerakan “intelektual istana”, ahli-ahli pidana, ekonomi dan perbankan yang mendukung pemberantasan korupsi agar tidak terbeli” (as per the ‘intelektual istana’ movement, those experts in criminal law, economy and banking who support corruption eradication not to sell out their credibilities), Febri says as quoted by Detik.com

I think that the term “Pendukung Istana” or “Palace Supporters” would be much better for them.
