Apple says it’s not to blame for a series of exploding iPods and iPhones, according to a report published on Friday. The company has been under fire, so to speak, for devices overheating and shattering across Europe and the U.K

This exploding iPhone business is no laughing matter: The European Union actually launched a formal inquiry last week after a teen in France said his girlfriend’s iPhone screen blew up without warning and sent a shard of glass into his eye. Witnesses told a local paper the phone began to “crackle and pop like a deep-fryer”

iPhone 3G has never been my dream gadget,so it’s fine whether it explodes or not..haha..But (serious mode:ON) the explosion may lead to the device’s plumetting popularity, which in turn may trigger buyers’ doubt to buy iPhone. If this does happen, I forecast Apple has to set new more affordable pricing for iPhone. And it means more Indonesians can afford to buy iPhone. I don’t think Indonesians object to iPhone’s risk of exploding. All we want is a cheap, yet stylish gadget we can show off to everyone we meet while texting or calling on streets/public places..haha.Safety is the least thing to consider, isnt it??I draw this conclusion based on Blackberry’s case. It’s fine to have a blackberry with suspended PIN or disabled BIS as long as we can show it off to pals,fellow workers,etc
