Saifuddin Zuhri bin Djaelani Irsyad, the recruit of Jakarta Kuningan Bombers and his brother Mohamad Syahrir were killed yesterday. Saifuddin was supposed to be in charge of Al Qaidah leader in South East Asia (ASEAN) after the death of Noordin M. Top. Good news for all of us. Police have killed two Indonesian militants who were believed to have played a role in hotel bombings in Jakarta on 17 July.
Saifuddin Zuhri bin Djaelani Irsyad and his brother Mohamad Syahrir were reportedly killed in a shoot-out in Ciputat in the south of the capital.
Saifuddin was suspected of recruiting the suicide bombers who attacked the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels.
Two others were arrested alive after the raid.

Excuse me?”wiped out”? I don’t think wiping out terrorism and terrorists is feasible. It’ll be present in any form, from subtle to obvious, from now and then. Terrorism is an ideology, way of thinking, mindset. It’ll exist no matter how hard we combat it or even slay as numerous terrorists as we can.
Thus, I prefer the term “take control of”. There’s nothing more effective than befriending the prospective terrorists (those who are actually victims of brainwashing done by some masterminds). These prospective terrorists are the marginalized poverty-ridden folks, minority groups, people not having access to a better education (Just remember Nana-that suicide bomber- he’s only an elementary school graduate, unemployed, and financially helpless!!), or any groups of our society that think they’re treated unfairly to some extent by the government. They can be our allies as long as we can accomodate their needs.
Guns can take those terrorists’ lives away but certainly not their radical ideas. Only proper education can do that.
