Obama delays yet again his planned state visit to Indonesia. He’ll be coming on June instead, says his spokesman, Robert Gibb:
US President Barack Obama Thursday dramatically postponed his trip to Indonesia and Australia until June, as he wages a vote-by-vote struggle to drive his health reform bill through Congress.
The move, which will delay Obama’s effort to intensify US engagement with the dynamic Asia Pacific region, was enforced by the need to woo wavering Democratic lawmakers with a knife edge-vote on the plan expected on Sunday.

Apart from the delay policy President Barack Obama’s visit to Indonesia is scheduled in March 2010, which later postponed to June 2010. Such decisions must we welcome with joy. Conditions in Indonesia recently has not conducive. There were exchanges of fire in the Aceh and shootings in Pamulang. Hopefully a few weeks and months ahead, the situation in Indonesia is a safe, stable and there is no political upheavals and security concern.

hmmm…disatu sisi efeknya ada warga Indonesia yang senang dan ada juga yang kecewa. Yang senang karena mungkin kurang begitu suka dengan amerika sedangkan yang kecewa karena sudah menyiapkan segala sesuatu untuk menyambut kedatangannya. Jadinya dilema deh ada yang pro dan kontra. Tapi walau bagaimanapun obama ya harus mementingkan bangsanya dulu terlepas dari kunjungannya ke negara lain
