President SBY Second Term

Congrats to Prez SBY second term. With more votes you gained in the general election means people want more performance from you. Watch & listen swearing-in ceremony report from ABC Aussie

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is being sworn in as Indonesia’s head of state for the second time with a much stronger political position.

He vowed to bring changes to the country when he was re-elected in July. But as the leader of a developing nation of around 240 million people, he faces a daunting number of challenges.

Perfectly honest, I did vote for him in the last presidential election. So there’s no reason for me not to feel happy on hearing the news.
With his experience in the last presidency, it looks like everyone hopes much more than before from him to guard this nation to be a developed one.
I guess this new presidential period is just a great milestone for Indonesia to take the lead, at least in the scope of ASEAN territory. We’ve been always called as a developing nation, it’s now the time to change, to transform ourselves into a developed nation.
Our neighboring ASEAN countries like Malaysia, Singapore, or South Korea and other countries can do that. They prosper so fast, so amazingly that no one would never think they just gained independence five/six decades ago, just like us! So what makes us different?! No offense but seeing those nations developing is just like seeing them fly so fast, at supersonic speed. BUt us? We’re like strolling in a relaxed way with no specific goals in mind, acting like everything’s fine without having to work hard and take part in the uproaring global competition. We always lag behind…
