Introduction
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (but also sometimes refers to Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary). It is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing web content.

An RSS reader (sometimes called a newsreader or news aggregator), allows you to receive and view data feeds from various sources in a single interface. Once you have copied the RSS feed URL from a web site into your reader, the reader checks the pages regularly and displays any updated content that it finds. There are many readers available for download, both free and for-fee. See the Google Directory list of newsreaders for further information.
