Salman Khan and his pseudo-religious behaviour

Posted on July 24, 2005

Everybody in India knows Salman Khan, one of the three king khan (beside Amir and Sakh Rukh) who rule the bollywood India. any film starred by those three guys will guarantee the producers with a great fortune and box office. however, salman is the most controversial figure among the three.

lately, he got problem again. this time nothing to do with the hit-and-run case. it’s something to do with the case few years back where the police got tapped her phone conversation with aishwarya rai, then his girlfriend. the content of the talk is the problem: he mentioning something which indicating that he’s very familiar with the underground gang of Dawood Ibrahim, the notorious mafia based in dubai which bombay (mumbai) police has long looking forward to catch. if this case continue, it’ll be interesting. not only how far his familiarity with the gangs but also what kind of punishment he’ll get.

usually, as it used to happen, whenever he’s in trouble with the security, salman will pretend to be a good indian muslim: wearing white muslim cap and talking about his being minority, etc. this is something i dont like about him: hiding behind minority identity for his own safety and sacrificing the image of the whole community. everybody know, he’s not religious person. he’s drunken kind of guy beside a womaniser. having said that, among the three khan, he’s the most sought-after bachelor in the eye of indian girls and women.
