The latest hype from Steve Jobs called iPad
The iPad is a tablet computer developed by Apple Inc. It features multi-touch interaction with print, video, photo, and audio multimedia, internet browsing, and runs most iPhone OS apps. The device incorporates an LED-backlit 9.7-inch (25 cm) multi-touch in-plane switching color display running at XGA resolution made by Innolux, a subsidiary of Foxconn. Pricing for models in the United States ranges from US$499 to US$829 depending on the amount of storage and inclusion of 3G access.
Sam Oliver of Apple Insider reveals that the latest iPod nano and iPod touch would a built-in have cameras.
…. both the iPod nano and iPod touch will receive cameras. He believes the new iPod touch will have the same RAM and processor speed as the iPhone 3GS, and the new media player will sell in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB at prices of $199, $299 and $399, respectively. He also said that the hard drive-based iPod classic will remain, likely with a 160GB capacity for $249.
Gruber admitted that he has heard “very little” prior to Wednesday’s event in San Francisco, reaffirming reports that a veil of secrecy returned when co-founder Steve Jobs returned to work at Apple. And all of what he’s confirmed, including the addition of cameras to the iPod touch and iPod nano, was known months ago.

Apple users have less protection from viruses and malicious software than Windows users do. But they’re still safer, security experts agree, because so few malware programs target the Mac.
Apple’s new Snow Leopard operating system, which landed in stores Friday, adds a few security enhancements to protect Mac users from malware. But like previous versions of the Mac OS, Snow Leopard lacks security features that are built in to Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, such as full Address Space Layout Randomization to thwart attacks from malicious code.
That makes Macs more vulnerable to attack, explained Charlie Miller, a security researcher and author of the book The Mac Hacker’s Handbook. But despite its weaknesses, Mac users have no reason to panic — yet. Apple’s PC market share is still roughly only about 10 percent, giving hackers and malicious software coders very little economic incentive to target the Mac.

It is almost two years since Google launched Android but so far it has disappointed. After the initial hype, Harry Wang, analyst at Parks Associates, said he was surprised by how slow the rise of the software had been. “After the G1 was introduced I expected more products to arrive featuring Android. The pace is so slow,” he said.
Some have pinned the slow start on Google’s decision not to launch its own phone but to partner with a variety of providers. Announcing Android in November 2007, Eric Schmidt, Google’s chief executive, said the operating system was “more ambitious than any single Google phone”. “Our vision is that the powerful platform we are unveiling will power thousands of different phone models,” he said.
So far those phones have failed to materialise and the iPhone’s popularity has convinced developers to set aside their open source preferences to work on applications for Apple. As for consumers: “They care about the experience,” said Wang. “So far Android hasn’t offered much in that regard.”

Apple says it’s not to blame for a series of exploding iPods and iPhones, according to a report published on Friday. The company has been under fire, so to speak, for devices overheating and shattering across Europe and the U.K
.. This exploding iPhone business is no laughing matter: The European Union actually launched a formal inquiry last week after a teen in France said his girlfriend’s iPhone screen blew up without warning and sent a shard of glass into his eye. Witnesses told a local paper the phone began to “crackle and pop like a deep-fryer”
Windows 7 may be the closest Microsoft has gotten to offering a desktop operating system as performance-nimble, aesthetically pleasing and, dare we say it, as potentially secure as Apple has delivered with OS X.
The relatively close release dates of both OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Windows 7 plus the awesomeness of both operating systems are generating much publicity. Inevitably, both OSes will also be the subject of much comparison. This may not be a true apples-to-apples comparison, depending on which side of the fan base you reside on, but here’s a look at features, side by side, of both Windows 7 and Snow Leopard: full story
