Bethlehem fills up with Christmas pilgrims
BETHLEHEM, West Bank (Reuters) – Thousands of Christian pilgrims gathered in Bethlehem’s Manger Square on Wednesday to celebrate Christmas under the protection of security forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Pilgrims have been streaming into the Palestinian town of Bethlehem as most of the Christian world celebrates Christmas. Officials in what is traditionally regarded as Christ’s birthplace say that annual visitor numbers are at their highest. more
