Many joins facebook just to meet old friends, to follow trends, or to give a daily brief of one’s distance families. Few knows that Facebook also can be used to promote their blog. I’ll write some third-party applications that can be integrated into Facebook which will give your blog a boost of traffic.
A. Adding RSS (feed) aggregator application. There are many feeds aggregator apps which can be integrated into Facebook. One of them are RSS Social Application.
Installation:
1. After login to your Facebook account, visit RSS Social in this link
2. Click “Allow” or you can just click this link.
3. Enter upto five RSS / Feed of your blogs in the given box.
4. Click “Update” and Done.
Note:
Form of RSS Feed: if you are a really newbie blogger and are having no clue of what RSS / feed is here’s the common form of RSS/FEED in major blog platform:
i. Blogger.com / blogspot RSS FEED:
Example: http://farzanesfandiar.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
Change “farzanesfandiar” into your blog address name.
ii. Wordpress.com RSS FEED
Example: http://afatih.wordpress.com/feed/
Change “afatih” into your blog address name.
iii. Feedburner RSS FEED
Example: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/farzanesfandiar
Change “farzanesfandiar” into your feed name.
iv. Self-hosted blog with worpress platform
Example: http://fatihsyuhud.com/feed/
Change “fatihsyuhud.com” into your own blog address.
v. Custom domain blogger.com / blogspot
Example: http://www.beasiswas.com/feeds/posts/default
Change “beasiswas” into your blog address name.
Now if you’ve done placing your RSS Feed, put RSS Social apps on the Profile Tab so that everyone see the latest updates from your blogs.

Showing the popular posts or top post of your blog article certainly will make visitors stay longer in your blog. So far as blogger.com/ blogspot goes, this Most Popular Post / Favorite Post / Top Posts widget are not available by default. But, blogger.com/blogspot opennes to Javascript motivate many blog savvy to create many hacks including this Popular Post thing.
Here are some hacks or widget to make Popular Post Widget in your blogger.com/blogspot blog:
I. Top Post Widget (Most Viewed Posts) from Postrank.com
Visit http://www.postrank.com/publishers/customize to start
1. Enter your blog URL in the “Specify your website address” box. Example, http://farzanesfandiar.blogspot.com
2. Choose a Theme
3. Display Options on how many popular posts you want to display.
4. Quick Install: Just copy/paste the code given into your Layout -> Page Element -> Javascript / HTML.
5. Save. Done.
Note: If it’s the first time you put your blog URL there, wait for a moment to let postrank.com index and crawl your blog first. Come back again after a few moment (could be hours) to start the procedure. See the LIVE DEMO here (at the top right sidebar.
II. Popular Post Widget(Most Commented Posts) from Bloggerbuster.com
There are two methods.
The first one is via Feed (showing only 5 most popular posts)
1. After login to your blogger.com account -> Layout -> Add Element -> Feed
2. Copy/paste this code: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=1cf38ae68efbe859c4ba1ee239cec099&_render=rss&num=50&url=http://farzanesfandiar.blogspot.com
3. Change farzanesfandiar.blogspot.com into your own.
4. Save. Done.

Continue Reading »Technorati (technorati.com) is one of the standard bearer as far as blogging is concerned. It’s also one of the biggest blog directory and aggregator. To be included in Technorati, you need to claim your blog using these simple steps:
1. Register to make account on Technorati in this link: http://technorati.com/account/signup/
2. If you already joined, just login to your Technorati account.
3. After sign-in / login, Copy this to your browser and click “Enter” http://technorati.com/account/claims/new
4. Enter your blog URL address. Example, http://farzanesfandiar.blogspot.com
5. Login to your blog. Complete Your Blog Claim by putting the code provided by Technorati into your sidebar or post / article.
6. Back to Technorati. Click “Complete Claim” on Technorati. Done.
NOTE:
1. You can claim more than one blogs at one account.
2. To see your claimed blog and make edit if necessary, visit this link after you sign-in/ login: http://technorati.com/account/claims/
By default, permalink in self-hosted wordpress is ugly and more important, not SEO friendly. It looks like http://fatihsyuhud.com/?p=22. The pretty permalink will look like this: http://fatihsyuhud.com/year/month/day/post-name. To transform the ugly one into a pretty permalink you need a little work-out. Fortunately an easy one as follows:
