What Happens to Bush shoe thrower, you might ask. Is he in prison? Is he beaten? Well, the answer is yes; he is imprisoned and beaten:

The brother of the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at US President George W Bush has said that the reporter has been beaten in custody.

Muntadar al-Zaidi has suffered a broken hand, broken ribs and internal bleeding, as well as an eye injury, his older brother, Dargham, told the BBC.

Shoe attack mars Bush’s Iraq visit

 CNN reports that a man identified as an Iraqi journalist threw shoes at — but missed — President Bush during a news conference Sunday evening in Baghdad, where Bush was making a farewell visit.

The shoe-thrower — identified as Muntadhar al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist with Egypt-based al-Baghdadia television network — could be heard yelling in Arabic: “This is a farewell … you dog!”

Campaign Promises on Ending the War in Iraq Now Muted by Reality

US President-elect Obama’s statement below to left tens of thousands of American troops in Iraq should not worry Liberal or Progressive segment of American society. All US troops will be leaving Iraq willy-nilly. Iraq is not Japan nor Korea. Americans are regarded as colonisers, not liberators as some Americans believe– and are not welcomed by majority of Iraqis. Keeping troops in Iraq for a long time just will make extremist recruitment grows faster and bigger .

President-elect Obama is making clearer than ever that tens of thousands of American troops will be left behind in Iraq, even if he can make good on his campaign promise to pull all combat forces out within 16 months.
