Idul Adha 2011
Idul Adha in Indonesia will be celebrated on Sunday, November 9, 2011
Muhammadiyah, the second largest Muslim organisation in Indonesia, will hold Idul Adha prayer on Sunday, 19 November 2010 M. Saudi Arabia is also going to hold Idul Adha prayer around this time.
Whichever days you celebrate Idul Adha both are religiously correct. And I should wish you a “Happy Idul Adha”
Anti-Islam America’s FBI Training will Stop
I wonder if the FBI anti-Islam training will still stop if the practices was not leaked? I don’t think so. Corporate media–which dominate mainstream media in the US– has been dominated by people with anti-Islam conscience. Even if such FBI’s controversy didn’t arise, the anti-Islam will still be the American’s consciousness – well, at least many of them.
FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III told a congressional hearing on Thursday that the bureau is conducting a review of training programs after disclosure of materials that equated devout Muslims with a greater propensity for violent extremism.
Mr. Mueller said that one part of the training program disclosed in a press account was “inappropriate and offensive,” but that the session was a “one-off” and not likely to be repeated.
Religion, Peace and Violence
Is religion cruel and drive someone to resort to violence instead of peace? Yes, an atheist who are bored to be religious might say.
One should not forget that an urge to go to violence is here within one’s heart. And human has a tendency to justify whatever one does to hide one’s true intention. And what the most legitimate reasons other than the reason of religion?
Hence, history witnessed the religion’s based ware in the Europe. Now, many terrorists, who claim to be Muslim, wage the war against anyone who doesn’t accept their ideology.
Anyone who cannot make peace with himself will always try to wage violence with or against others to satisfy his lust of doing violence acts. With or without the name of religion.
Terrorist Attacks in Solo Church Indonesia
The suicide bomber in Solo Central Java has reminded us on one thing: that the threat of terrorism, insecurity and disunity among Indonesians is still wide open.
It’s the duty of all of us to keep it at bay. To fight any kind of violence means to achieve the ends.
I personally condemns any terror / violence means to achieve whatever goal.
Muslim scholars needs to work harder to enlighten a few grass-root people who are interpreting Islam in the most dangerous way.
