AdEngage Money Maker Shut Down
AdEngage, one of old advertising company, is shutting down its services this month. In its press release, it sends me email explaining the decision:
Dear AdEngage Customer,
AdEngage will be shutting down on February 28, 2011
The management of AdEngage has determined to cease operations, effective as of February 28, 2011.
The AdEngage website and advertising services will no longer be available and AdEngage will not be initiating any new campaigns at this time. Campaigns already in progress will continue to their conclusion on February 28, 2011. Current users of the system will have access however to their statistics and reporting until April 30th, 2011.
For those bloggers who have significant earning of more than $20 should not be worried. AdEngage will pay them:
Any outstanding publisher earnings above $20 will be processed on or around March 31, 2011 as a final payment. Balances remaining with existing advertisers will be refunded on or before March 31, 2011.
I don’t have any clue yet behind the reason of this closure. Most probably the lack of advertisers has caused this problem.
I have been with AE for long time. I put AE ad in this blog as well (right sidebar). AE is good in giving an advertiser for you. To me it’s been better than BSA (BuySellAds). So, the decision really is surprising.

If you put Adsense in a Auto generated content blog, you should remove the ads from now on and find Adsense’s alternative instead. Adsense official blog states:
We don’t allow sites with auto-generated or otherwise unoriginal content to participate in the AdSense program. This is to ensure that our users are benefiting from a unique online experience and that our advertisers are partnering with useful and relevant sites.
Adf.ly Server is Down or Slow
Adf.ly is gaining more popularity by the day. This CPM based services is a lot more popular than it used to be. And with it more traffics. This few days, however, Adf.ly has been down so often or at least very slow to the extent that you cannot shorten link url through it.
If you visit this site, it sometimes accessible for minutes and down minutes later. If you try shortening link URL, it cannot make it.
Adf.ly should act quickly to respond to this problem so their business could blossom even faster. Or else it will go backwards and down.
