Nick Farrel of the Inquirer reports the latest Nokia smartphone which Nokia claims as iPhone killer.

NOKIA has released prices for its two smart phones which it has been touting in the press as its ‘Iphone killers.’

The Nokia N900 and Nokia N97 Mini are now available for pre-order from the Nokia online shop.

They are being flogged SIM-Free for £429 for the Nokia N97 Mini and £499 for the Nokia N900 internet tablet. Officially they will ship later this year.

According to Nokia the N900 delivers a PC-like experience in a handset-sized device. Basically it is a 3.5-inch touchscreen device that has 32GB of memory and even a 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera.

Nokia netbook has come out but with a big price. With the same price, I’d better shop for a 12 inch Toshiba, Compact, HP or others. Is it Nokia way to brand itself in the unchartered territory?

Nokia has announced pricing for its upcoming Booklet 3G netbook. At a hefty list price of $820, the Booklet 3G is sure to cause sticker shock among netbook shoppers. Apparently Nokia did not get the memo that the point of a netbook is to provide a smaller AND lower-cost alternative to the laptop.

Netbook sales have grown contrary to economic trends or any news of recession. In fact, it could be argued that the economic woes have contributed to the success of the netbook market, forcing users to scale down and look for more affordable options to meet their computing needs.

Yet, if you insist to buy it, you may have a look at this review on its spec and features:

Unlike a number of less expensive alternatives, however, the Booklet 3G comes with a robust complement of hardware, software, and communications tools.

Integrated Nokia services include Ovi Suite 2.0, Nokia Music for PC, Ovi Maps, and Social Hub—which aggregates feeds from online social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Internet Explorer 8 is the default Web browser.

For connectivity, the Booklet 3G offers built-in WLAN and WWAN support for connecting to the Internet through WiFi or cellular networks. The system features 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and 120 GB of storage.

A full-fledged version of the Adobe Flash player is coming soon to a whole slew of smartphones. Unfortunately, Apple’s iPhone isn’t one of them.

Adobe announced at the GSMA Mobile World Congress here Monday that Flash Player 10, which is the full version of Flash that runs on PCs, will be available on smartphones running Windows Mobile, Google’s Android, Nokia S60/Symbian, and the new Palm operating systems. Devices with Flash Player 10 are expected to hit the market starting in early 2010.

The company has worked for years on a lightweight incarnation of its Flash technology for mobile phones. Adobe executives said that about 40 percent of all phones that are shipped today use this version of its technology. But because Flash Lite doesn’t allow for the same functionality as what’s available on the Flash 10 desktop version of the technology, mobile users are missing out.
