Oh my God, mas Fatih, please dont continue. quit blogging and gender issue? survey taken from three respondent only? totally insufficient data. u are developing hypothesis from weak premises. please don’t hurt me with ur conclusion.

in my case, perhaps u shud blame John Francis too. His 17 years record of no talking has inspired me to lessen the amount of time i dedicate to talk or write to people. instead, i try to write and talk more to my self now. and John Francis is no woman, mas.

Besides, i dont totally quit blogging. i still am actively blog walking although to only few blogs now. i closed down my personal blog. and considering to close down my facebook and friendster as well. Cyber space isn’t safe world anymore now, BBC said. hehe, kidding. I just think i over expose my self to people i dont know. that’s bad. mama said dont talk to strangers :P

but i still have http://blog.nurhasan.net kok.

to the other two women who quit blogging, hm..what shud i say. a woman gota do, what a woman wants to do. so, good luck! :D

I think it’s back to the blog owner’s intention when they decide to blog in the first place. I know there are at least 2 women bloggers who (hopefully still) blog but now only for restricted readers. I don’t know their reasons, but it’s quite interesting to see this phenomenon.

some people take blogging too personally. when their writings are criticized they might think they are being attacked. I have heard or people who have never even met who became enemies. These are a few things that might happen in the blogging world.

Good things happen too, like getting new friends, having your writings appreciated, honing your writing skills, getting a job or business opportunities because of your blog and so on.

I don’t know the reason why these three women decided to quit blogging. Personally I think it’s a shame when someone has talent and a mind full of ideas and opinions but chooses to keep it to themselves. However it the personal decisions of these three women and I respect it.

Myself, I would never stop completely or keep my blog private but that is because I am too ‘cuek’, I dont care if people stop coming to my blog, or if I am criticized or even if I get negative feedbacks or comments. I blog for myself, and unless I am too busy, I will try to maintain my blogs and update it as often as I can.

But like Anita said, we know what we are getting into when we started blogging and putting our opinion for the world to see, and when the going gets tough, it sucks, but it’s a part of our blogging growth, so to speak.

couldn’t agree more rima. well said and should enlighten other bloggers who are in the cross road … thanks also to Mulia for speak up and Anita for logical comment.

maybe emotional things influence her decision to do so.Why don’t we just respect it and try to encourage her to come back.Everyone has it’s own reason to do everything.

that’s right brothas and sistas. you do what you gotta do. do what you think more important. real life is out there.

for me blogging is a thing to keep my mind occupied. i don’t want to idle my brain on routine. though i think i’ve made more enemies than friends coz some of my opinions. some email me their dislikeness. but heck, i just spit out what i thought. guess i shall erase my posts if i join a political party in future.

btw om fatih, i saw bidvertiser referral on this blog. i’m quite sure you have more than 2 blogs. can you please tell their urls? so i know which ideas for main or side blogs.

Hmm … i see, pretty complicated actually. But because of that, i can know what she / he try to gain from blogging.

For me, blog is a blank paper that we have to fill. We’re free to fill it with anything we want and anytime, of course. It’s not a time-wasting job, so just make blogging is our second life in cyber-world, that’s it. Of course we can gain something from blog, but for me “the freedom” is everything in blogging.

Hehe, sorry if i said a wrong thing, but i still human who can make a mistake. I’m sorry for that. For the attention, yeah maybe we have to consider about new blogger (i’m still new actually ^^, try my blog please), because probably there is (or even there are) interesting topic there. So, just try …
