Who’s the Best Indonesian President?
On 9 April 2009 another general election will be held in Indonesia after which we will have another new democratically elected president. Since gaining its Independence from Japan in 1945, and sucessfully defended the Dutch attack in 1949, Indonesia-barring Suharto and Habibie- has democratically elected six presidents. All presidents of course has their own plus and flipside. Having said that, there should be one or two who one thinks had the best performance & capability as the head of state of the country.
Who do you think the Indonesian president who deserves the awards as being the Best President of Indonesia of all time, the second and the third? And who is the worst? And what is the reason behind your choice?
Last but not least, who will you vote as the new president in the 2009 general election (SBY, Megawati, Amin Rais, Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Gus Dur, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Wiranto, Prabowo)?

2. Suharto 12 March 1967 – 21 May 1998
3. Bacharuddin Jusuf (B J) Habibie 21 May 1998 – 20 October 1999
4. Abdurrahman Wahid 20 October 1999 – 23 July 2001
5. Megawati Sukarnoputri 23 July 2001 – 20 October 2004
6. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono 20 October 2004 – 2009
i think there no the best president in indonesia.
I dont think any president of Indonesia are the best one but my favorite one is Sukarno.

Soekarno & Soeharto dah lewat…bukas masa nya lagi, Gus dur..yang namanya pemimpin harus mantap lahir-batin & mental-fisik biar jadi contoh, Megawati..dia wanita..meskipun bisa memimpin..dalam islam itu tidah boleh..SBY..boleh lah..gerak nya cukup lihai & banyak muncul di TV…tapi saya pilih Habibie lagi aja dech kalo ada…
The best Indonesian president has to be chosen by Indonesian people who are independent and not influenced by the government. Indonesian people have to choose objectively.
Indonesian people do not have a complicated hope for their best president. It is just a simple one. They only want that their president can build a comfortable situation which make them easy to earn some money for their lives.
I voted and will always vote, though I believe there’s a litlle chance of change. And when it comes to this very sore subject, I can guarantee nobody is as skeptic as I am.This nation is crawling while the other nations are running and flying at light speed.
I think it is difficult to say who is the best Indonesian president because I can’t see clearly who is a really honest and faithful person among them. However, I still hope that whoever chosen to become Indonesian president will be able to make a better future for this beloved country.
