Wordpress 2.8.5

Posted on October 21, 2009

Wordpress version 2.8.5 has been released. Here are the reasons why you should upgrade

* A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
* Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
* Switched the file upload functionality to be whitelisted for all users including Admins.
* Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.

The way you explain is much too technical for me, I don’t get it. After all, I’m not a wordpress huge fan. I once used WP but leave my WP blogs abandoned and untaken care of.

#it’s an info for a self-hosted wordpress owner. if you have one, you’ll understand what it means.

Oh,yeah. Thanks..I got that. I don’t even have a self-hosted WP blog! Owhhh, shame on me. But, someday I’m pretty sure I will ^_^ cross my finger for that!
