Writing Arabic Script in Wordpress.com

In order to be able to write Arabic script in wordpress.com you need to change the setting in wordpress.com or wordpress version 2.7. Follow this simple steps:

After login -> Setting -> Reading
In the “Encoding for Pages and Feeds” change the “UTF-8″ (by default) into -> “windows-1256″ or ISO-8859-6
Save Change.
Done.

Encoding for other specific character:

Latin/Hebrew: ISO-8859-8
Hebrew: windows-1255
Latin/Arabic: ISO-8859-6
Arabic: windows-1256

Bang Fatih, bagaimana kalau dalam satu halaman campur aduk tulisan Arab dan Latin? Dulu saya pernah buat Plugin WP yang insert code tag lalu otomatis diubah menjadi tag-tag HTML RTL dengan perlengkapan CSS. Rupanya sewaktu pindah server, di MySQL baru menggunakan default codepage-nya, akhirnya tulisan Arab itu rusak.

Sekarang saya lagi mencari yang tulisannya menggunakan font di server. Ada atau tidak ada Arabic di kompouter klien, tetap bisa tampak. Ada informasi? Apalagi jika berbentuk WP Plugin tentu sangat baik.

Ada rencana mau mengadopsi pola CAPCTHA yang menggunakan font di server. Rupanya itu dibentuk ke dalam images. Sebagai orang yang mengerti begitu-begitu doang dalam dunia coding, sekalipun bisa jalan, butuh waktu lama untuk satu dua baris doang. Bagi-bagi informasinya ya.
